Corrugated plastic signs are printed on polypropylene corrugated sheet — also called fluted plastic signs, coroplast signs or PP hollow board signs. The twin-wall structure makes the board lightweight, waterproof, reusable and economical, and it is available in a wide range of colours and custom options, which is why it has become the standard material for the advertising and display industry.
Its ability to take vibrant, long-lasting colour is what makes it work: with corona treatment the ink bonds to the surface instead of sitting on top of it, so the print stays bright and does not flake. That is what turns a plain sheet into an eye-catching advertising panel, yard sign or display board — and it is why corrugated plastic has been replacing cardboard and foam board in outdoor signage.

Thicker is not automatically better — the right thickness depends on how long the sign has to stay up and how wide it is. Over-specifying only adds weight and freight; under-specifying lets the board sag or blow over. Use this as a starting point:

How do you ensure the sheets are good for printing? |
|
We corona-treat both sides of sign board and test the dyne value before shipment. If your process is UV flatbed or screen printing, tell us when you enquire and we will supply the treated grade — and send the test report with the quote. |

Can you die-cut into specific shapes for our sign design? |
|
Yes. We run high-precision die-cutting and offer custom cutting, perforation, hole punching and shape cutting — including round corners, hanging holes and stake slots pre-punched to your drawing. |

How long do outdoor corrugated signs last? |
|
Our UV-stabilised board is rated for 6–12 months of continuous outdoor exposure — it will not fade, turn brittle or crack in that window. Untreated board starts to yellow after about six months in strong sun. Boards over 4 mm are also more wind-resistant than 2–3 mm, which matters on wide signs. |

Can you print both sides of corrugated plastic signs? |
|
Yes. Real estate and election signs often carry different or identical artwork on each face so they read from both directions. We supply board with corona treatment on both sides, so ink adhesion and colour are equally good front and back. |

Are corrugated plastic signs better than foam board? |
|
Outdoors, yes. Foam board is afraid of water and damp — it goes soft and rotten after one rain. PP hollow board is waterproof, moisture-proof and sun resistant, and survives months of wind and rain. It can also be wiped clean and stored for the next campaign, while foam board is effectively single use and usually breaks when you take it down. For a short indoor exhibition where print finish matters most, foam board is still a fair choice. |

What about packaging to prevent damage during shipping? |
|
Sheets are packed in PE bags with corner protectors and palletised for sea freight, which prevents bending and corner damage in transit. We can also pack flat or bundled to your specification. |
