Why Choose Our Corrugated Polypropylene Sheets?

We extrude our own sheet on our own lines. That is the difference between buying from a factory and buying from a trading company.

Factory direct price

No trading company in between. You buy from the line that extrudes the sheet, which typically saves 15–25% against a distributor quote.

Stable batch quality

Colour, thickness and strength stay consistent from batch to batch, so you can plan repeat orders without re-testing every time.

On-time delivery

15+ fully automated extrusion lines running in parallel, so a full-container order does not queue behind someone else's order. On-time rate 98%.

Full customisation

Thickness 2–12mm, any width and length, any colour, plus printing, die-cutting, folding, welding and assembly. Send a drawing or a photo and we will quote it.

Special grades available

Anti-static / ESD / conductive, flame-retardant UL94 V-0, UV-stabilised, corona-treated for ink adhesion, food-contact grade on request.

Free samples before you order

We send A4 or A3 samples in your chosen specification so you can test fit, printability and colour before committing to bulk.

What Are Corrugated Polypropylene Sheets?

Also called corrugated plastic sheet, PP hollow board, twin-wall polypropylene sheet, fluted plastic sheet — or by the trade names Coroplast, Corflute and Correx.

Two flat liners are bonded to a fluted (corrugated) core, forming a twin-wall structure. This hollow core distributes weight and impact force far more efficiently than a solid sheet of the same thickness, which is why you get the rigidity you need at roughly half the weight of solid plastic board.

Because polypropylene is chemically inert, the finished sheet does not absorb water, will not rot or mildew, and holds its properties in rain, humidity and coastal air. It is used across advertising and signage, logistics and packaging, construction protection, electronics and agriculture.

Applications — How Corrugated PP Sheet Is Used

Every application below lists the products, the usual specification, and what the buyer should watch for.

corrugated plastic sheet applications in packaging, agriculture, electronics and billboards

Advertising & Signage Boards

The single largest application. Because the surface takes ink cleanly and the sheet is completely waterproof, printed boards outlast painted plywood or corrugated cardboard in every outdoor position.

Typical products: yard signs, arrow boards, real estate signs, election and campaign posters, retail displays, menu boards, directional signage
Typical spec: 4 mm white, silk screen or UV digital, 600×900 / 600×1200 / 1220×2440 mm
Outdoor life: 3–5 years with UV grade
assorted corrugated plastic layer pads and dividers for packaging

Packaging, Layer Pads & Dividers

Replacing wooden pallets and polystyrene dividers for heavy or fragile cargo. The sheet absorbs almost no water, so goods stay dry through a sea voyage that would ruin cardboard, and a single pallet can be reused dozens of times.

Typical products: layer pads, corner protectors, partitions, bin dividers, tote liners, retail shelf bins
Typical spec: 5–10 mm, anti-static / ESD for electronics, die-cut to your pallet or container dimensions
corrugated plastic floor and wall protection sheets in different colours

Construction & Renovation Protection

Floors, windows, countertops and finished surfaces during renovation and moving. The sheet is light enough for one person to carry across a floor, flexible enough to bend around a stair edge, and it survives the grit and traffic of a building site.

Typical products: floor protection sheets, wall and door protection, window wrap, temporary site hoarding
Typical spec: 2–3 mm, cut to 2400 mm lengths for fast laying, corner-rounded on request
UV stabilised corrugated plastic tree guards for young fruit trees

Agriculture, Tree Guards & Crates

Tree guards protect saplings from mechanical damage and browsing. PP takes UV exposure without yellowing, unlike thin film or cardboard collars. The same material assembles into returnable fruit and vegetable crates that get washed and reused.

Typical products: tree guards, garden stakes, plant markers, fruit crates (orange, banana, mango, grape, strawberry, tomato), vegetable crates (cabbage, pumpkin, broccoli), seafood and frozen-meat boxes
Typical spec: 3–4 mm UV-stabilised, welded or folded, ventilation holes pre-cut

Electronics & ESD

Static discharge destroys components before they ship. We supply conductive and anti-static grades so the sheet does not become a charge reservoir during handling.

6–10 mm, 10⁶–10⁹ Ω, black or grey. Ask for the resistance value with the order, not just "ESD".

Retail Display & Storage

Pop-up displays, shelf systems, wardrobe boxes, storage totes and collapsible boxes that fold and weld without stitching or glue.

3–5 mm, ultrasonic welded or hot-folded, flat-packed to save container space.

Marine & Coastal

Salt air and constant humidity degrade wood, steel and paper quickly. PP is inert and does not corrode or swell in coastal conditions.

4–6 mm, UV and corrosion stable. Used for boat parts packaging, dock and marina signage.

Thickness & Weight Reference

Weight is the most reliable way to confirm you are not being short-changed on thickness. Ask your supplier to confirm the areal weight, not just the millimetres.

Thickness Areal weight Weight per sheet
(1220×2440 mm)
Typical use
2.0 mm 250–450 g/m² 0.75–1.10 kg Floor / wall protection, light packaging
3.0 mm 400–700 g/m² 1.20–2.09 kg Tree guards, garden stakes, signage
4.0 mm 500–800 g/m² 1.49–2.39 kg Most popular — signs, boxes, general use
5.0 mm 650–1200 g/m² 1.94–3.58 kg Layer pads, dividers, heavier duty
6.0 mm 800–1500 g/m² 2.39–4.48 kg ESD / anti-static electronics packaging
8.0 mm 1100–2000 g/m² 3.28–5.97 kg Pallet layers, load-bearing partitions
10.0 mm 1600–2400 g/m² 4.77–7.16 kg Double-wall pallets, heavy duty
12.0 mm 2000–3000 g/m² 5.97–8.95 kg Engineered panels, honeycomb applications

Weight per sheet is calculated on a 1220 × 2440 mm sheet. Different flute structures shift the figure; confirm with your supplier before ordering.

Corrugated Plastic vs. the Alternatives

The honest version: corrugated plastic is not always the right choice. Here is when it is, and when it is not.

Criterion PP Corrugated Plastic Corrugated Cardboard Solid PP Sheet
Water resistance Excellent — will not absorb water Poor — fails when wet Excellent
Reuse cycles 10+ trips 1 trip, occasionally 2 10+ trips
Stiffness at same thickness High for the weight Low High, but roughly 2× the weight
Upfront cost Medium Lowest Highest
Cost per use Lowest over 5+ uses Highest over time Low
Print quality Good, 1–4 colours, both sides Good, but fades outdoors Best — smooth, flat surface
Cutting in-house Easy — scissors, saw, router Easy Harder — needs sharp tools
Outdoor life 3–5 years UV grade Days to weeks 3–5 years UV grade
Recyclable Yes, 100% mono-material Yes, but needs dry, clean paper Yes, 100%
Best choice for Reusable, outdoor, wet or heavy-duty applications One-time shipping, low budget Where flatness matters more than weight

The short version: if you need the material for more than one trip, or it will be exposed to water or sunlight, corrugated plastic wins on cost per use. If it is a single-use export carton and the budget is the only concern, cardboard wins on upfront cost.

How to Choose the Right Corrugated PP Sheet for Your Project

Most complaints about corrugated plastic come from a mismatch between the grade bought and the job it was put to. Four steps to avoid that.

Step 1 — Define the actual job, not the product name

Before you pick a thickness, be specific about the service condition. What is the sheet doing — standing outdoors through a Northern winter, protecting precision electronics from static, or lining a warehouse floor during a fit-out?

Sunlight and weather

Require a UV-stabilised grade. Untreated PP loses colour and becomes brittle outdoors within months.

Static-sensitive electronics

Require a stated surface resistance (10⁶–10⁹ Ω), not just the words "ESD".

Acidic or alkaline environment

Check chemical compatibility for the specific medium, not just "corrosion resistant".

Food or medical contact

Require food-grade certification before the material enters that supply chain.

High temperature or cold storage

Standard PP works to −20 °C to +80 °C. Outside that, request a modified grade.

Load bearing

A partition needs compressive strength; a display board needs stiffness at low weight. Different jobs.

Step 2 — Verify the material, don't trust the adjectives

"High strength" and "long lasting" mean nothing on their own. Two checks are worth doing before you pay for a bulk order.

The float test

Pure PP has a density of about 0.91–0.93 g/cm³ and floats in water. If a sample sinks, it has been blended with fillers or recycled material, and durability will be well below the quoted figures. A cup of water and a piece of offcut is all it takes.

The cut-surface check

Virgin material shows a uniform, dense, slightly translucent texture. Recycled board shows mixed-colour flecks and a porous core. This is the most reliable way to see what you are actually buying.

Step 3 — Get the numbers, not the adjectives

Ask three questions in writing before you order: what is the areal weight in g/m², what is the flute structure, and what is the tolerance on thickness. A supplier who cannot answer these is guessing — and you will find out at the goods-in stage. Also confirm the surface treatment: a board without corona treatment will print well initially and start peeling in a few weeks outdoors.

Step 4 — Test before you commit

Order the free sample. Put it in the actual environment — water, sun, a bending test, a print test — and check it. Then verify third-party certification for anything entering the food, medical or electronics supply chain. We supply SGS, ISO and RoHS documentation on request and accept your own inspection provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we answer most often. If yours is not here, email us and we will reply within 12 hours.

What is the difference between Coroplast, Corflute and Correx?

Nothing physical — all three are trade names for the same product: twin-wall polypropylene corrugated sheet. Coroplast and Correx are the common names in North America and Australia, Corflute in the UK and Europe. The material is identical; what differs between suppliers is flute structure, thickness tolerance and surface quality, which is what you should actually compare.

Are these sheets really waterproof and suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Polypropylene does not absorb water, so the sheet will not swell, delaminate or lose strength in rain, and it can be washed and reused. For prolonged outdoor exposure we recommend a UV-stabilised grade; untreated PP fades and becomes brittle within months of direct sunlight. With a UV grade, 3–5 years of outdoor life is normal.

What thickness should I choose?

2–3 mm for floor and surface protection. 4 mm is the general-purpose choice and the most commonly specified — appropriate for signage, boxes and most general applications. 5–6 mm for layer pads and load-bearing partitions, or where anti-static properties are needed. 8–12 mm for double-wall pallets and engineered panels. If you tell us the application we will recommend a thickness rather than selling you the thickest one.

Can you supply custom sizes, colours and printed logos?

Yes. Thickness 2–12 mm, any width up to 2600 mm and any length, white / black / blue / red / green / yellow / grey / orange or custom Pantone-matched colours. Printing is 1–4 colours by silk screen, flexographic or UV digital, up to 1600 × 2500 mm, on one or both sides. We can also die-cut, drill, corner-round, fold, weld and assemble the sheet into finished parts. Send a drawing, DXF or a photo with dimensions.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is 500 pieces, and mixed sizes and colours are accepted within the same order, so you can test several grades in one shipment. Free samples in your own specification are available before any bulk order, and the sample cost is refunded when you place the first bulk order.

How long does production and delivery take?

Standard sizes: 7–12 days after sample approval. Custom printing or fabrication: 15–20 days. Samples dispatch within 3 days. Delivery from Qingdao is roughly 25–35 days to European ports and 30–40 days to North America — tell us your destination and we will confirm the freight cost and available shipping lines.

Are corrugated plastic sheets recyclable?

Yes — the sheet is mono-material polypropylene with no paper core, unlike corrugated cardboard, which has a paper liner that must be separated before the material can be recycled. PP is one of the most widely recycled plastics and can go back into the manufacturing cycle. This is also a purchasing argument in many markets where packaging waste is taxed or restricted.

How do I know the board is genuine PP and not recycled filler?

Two simple checks. First, the float test: pure PP has a density of about 0.91–0.93 g/cm³ and floats in water, while filled or recycled material sinks. Second, look at a cut section — virgin PP shows a uniform dense texture, while recycled board shows mixed-colour flecks and a porous core. We also supply third-party SGS verification on request.

Do you assist with export documentation and shipping?

Yes. We ship to 56+ countries and provide invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin, prepared for customs clearance in your destination country. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV) is welcome, and we will photograph and document the goods before loading.

How do you cut and fabricate the sheet?

We run 13 sets of high-precision die-cutting machines plus CNC and guillotine cutting, so we can deliver cut parts at your dimensions rather than flat sheets. The sheet can also be folded, hot-bent and ultrasonically welded into boxes, trays and assembled structures. If you send finished-part drawings, we can supply them ready to use. It is also easy to cut in-house with scissors, a saw or a router — no special machinery required.
